Bike Reno

A couple months ago, I asked for volunteers to help me improve the bike map data on Google Maps.  In addition to the visual data that this provides (i.e., lines on a map), Google uses this data for creating bike directions.  I got about a dozen people to help and wanted to share some of the results in some very telling before & after screenshots.

You can see that it’s looking much better!  There’s still a few streets to fill out, but I don’t know what all is missing, so if you want to fill in the data, I have some typed instructions and a video on youtube that shows how to do it (it’s pretty easy).
